Hidden Gems: Wyoming's Green and New Fork River
When fly fishers mention the Green River, most immediately think of the magical, fish-filled tailwater below Flaming Gorge Reservoir in Utah. What many don’t know is that the headwater reach in Wyoming is an equally wonderful stream with enchanting scenery, wildlife, and chock-full of wild brown and rainbow trout. What is more, it is a very lightly traveled part of the watershed.
This program sheds light on one of the lesser known rivers in the Rocky Mountain West, including its reaches, hatches, fish, seasons, and dangers. The New Fork River and the headwater lakes in the Wind River Range are also highlighted. If you haven’t fished the Green or New Fork rivers before, this presentation will more than spark your interest.
