Scott Bosse and American Rivers tell the truth about Wild and Scenic Rivers
Scott Bosse of American Rivers had a very well-put letter to the editor in this week's Jackson Hole News and Guide regarding the Wild and Scenic designation for the Snake River. The county Commissioners of Lincoln County, Wyoming, has recently put out a statement asking for Wild and Scenic designation for the Snake River to be rescinded and the watershed and surrounding wilderness be handed over to local control. Scott's response to this was strong and to the point, calling the commissioner's statement an "anti-conservation manifesto". It's a short read, but well worth reading.
