Snake River Good fishing winter fishing on the lower Snake from South Park down to East Table. Ledge rock pools, eddies, and seams are the prime targets, particularly with nymphs but in the early afternoon with midge adult patterns as well. Upstream of South Park, nymphs are working better than surface patterns through the day. Concentrate on eddies and backwater side channels at seam margins. Nymphs are best fished as part of a dry-dropper rig when targeting the top four fee


First Report of 2021
Snake River Variable temperatures over the past couple of weeks have shifted water the water you should target from time to time. With ice flow occurring some mornings, the best option is to target slow current back channels where buildup is minimal. Warmer overnight lows will lessen ice on the water, allowing anglers to target eddies and riffle pools.
