Snake River Good fishing on the tailwater reach below Jackson Lake Dam where flows stand at 2,400cfs and visibility is at close to 100%. Surface action has been best from the tail of the spillway down to Cattlemens with eddies, riffles, submerged structure, and banks offering consistent production. Solstice Report
Snake River Runoff is beginning to subside on the Snake and we are within a couple weeks of fishing the river with confidence. In the meantime, the best results are coming from the tailwater reach where clarity is very good and flows from the dam have been reduce to 2,800cfs. There is surface action in bits-and-piece in eddy pools and slow runs along banks with moderate depths. Small attractor, midge and caddis imitations are the name of the game if fishing top-water. It


Tailwaters and Lakes
Snake River Flows from Jackson Lake Dam are currently at around 4,500cfs. The tailwater reach above Pacific Creek continues to have the best visibility. Jackson Lake, however, is in turn over, so that visibility is far from crystal clear. Nonetheless, there is still around three feet of clarity.
