Ending June on a High Note
Snake River Flows on the Snake are in recession but we are still several days away from significant visibility. As such, the tailwater reach below Jackson Lake Dam remains the most fishable piece of water where flows are at approximately 2,900cfs. Nymphing remains the best option above Cattleman’s while streamers are a solid choice downstream. The big change has been increased surface action with hatches of PMDs and caddis. Imitations of these bugs, as well as attractors

Lewis, New Fork, & South Fork this Week
Snake River Flows from Jackson Lake Dam are at 4000cfs and the tailwater reach down to Pacific Creek remains the best place to fish with substantially more visibility that the rest of the river, although clarity is not 100% due to the lingering effects of turnover from the lake. Nymphing is still best from the spillway down to Cattleman’s with double rigs in the seven to nine foot range from line/suspension device down to the trailing fly. Target seams, eddies, and conflue

Its Feelin' Like June
Snake River Runoff has intensified over the past week as air temperatures have increased into the 70s. The tailwater reach below Jackson Lake Dam remains one of the better places to fish on the Snake at the moment where there is substantial clarity, although Jackson Lake is going into runoff which is leading to somewhat less visibility than what we have had since the last fishing report. Flows from the dam are at 2,000cfs. There is a smattering of surface action on chirono
